Well-Being age 10+
Each week we will talk about different emotions and ways to manage the feelings and thoughts which are seen as negative and so many find hard to cope with. We explore different breathing practices and tools that help with anger, anxiety, and that regulate the nervous system. I also use different creative activities that help move through emotional cycles and emotional overwhelm. All of the practices used can help bring a sense of calm in everyday life. For older children we will also explore negative thoughts patterns and limiting beliefs with ways to understand and reframe them. Each week starts with some breathing to settle into the space with an invitation to share how everyone is feeling. Then moving into a discussion based around a feeling or emotion while working on a expressive art activity. We close with taking a few deep breaths.
