Earthwake age 8+

Earthwake is an outdoor community learning opportunity in the most idyllic location a stone’s throw from Bungay, just outside Earsham.  Set beside the river and overlooking marshes and farmland, the children can decide from a range of activities or come up with something individually or as a group and get their environmental and social ‘fix’.  Lorna is experienced in running children’s groups and she has superb knowledge of flora, fauna, insect and wildlife. These sessions are child led with a variety of resources to satisfy enquiring minds.  Directions will be given to the site after booking is confirmed.

Example of activities are:

– Shelter construction

– Campfire or Kelly kettle for hot drinks

– Pens or watercolour art resources

– Scything or raking paths for clearance

– Searching for slow worms or grass snakes

– Whittling/carving

– River dipping

– Bird watching 

– Lying in a hammock with friends
