SUMMARY:Beccles library meet up: Flight theme
DESCRIPTION:There will be three areas of activity – drawing\, junk model making and lego. I’ll pre-book some books addressing that month’s theme (you’re welcome to too!) and the children will also be encouraged to have a look in the library for books. Then we’ll spend a couple of hours drawing\, sticking or building and at the end the children are welcome to have their picture taken with their creation. I’ll provide an option to digitally add this photo to a certificate which will be emailed to the parent so they can file it or print it out. For older children\, this could be an opportunity to meet new friends\, maybe head out to the market (Beccles market runs on Fridays)\, the shops or the shelter beside Wetherspoons and hang out for a couple of hours knowing their parents are fairly nearby – great if parents need to be with younger siblings. \n\n\n\nCome along and see who’s there – the room is completely see-through so you can nonchalantly wander into the library\, see what we’re up to in there and then choose whether to come in. \n\n\n\nThis is a free event\, but not a drop off. Parents will need to be responsible for their children – the library room is a great space for socialising\, but sadly is not appropriate for boisterous or loud behaviour. I am checking to see if we’ll have access to the outside space to the side of the library if children need to let off steam.

SUMMARY:WHELC Walk: Bungay Common
DESCRIPTION:Two Options:  \n\n\n\n\nEither meet at Bungay Common (near number 6 on the map there is a car park) and have a short walk around the common\, or play on the open area nearby.  Or…\n\n\n\nJoin a 5 mile hike around Bungay\, through Earsham and past some working gravel pits circling around the back of Bungay Common and back to the car park.  Start at point 6 on the map (Bungay Common car park)\n\n\n\n\nFree to attend\, but not a drop off.  Parents need to be responsible for their children at all time.  For the walk\, it is advised to bring water\, waterproofs\, good shoes to walk in and some food for a stop-off required in preferably a back pack.  For the stay and play\, bring what you like and enjoy the common!

SUMMARY:WHELC walk: Halesworth
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 3.5 mile walk around Halesworth.  We will be starting at the station.  \n\n\n\nIf joining by train\, there is a Lowestoft train leaving at 10:06 (9:24 Beccles) that arrives at 10:39.  Woodbridge train leaves at 10:31 (Wickham Market 10:42\, Saxmundham 10:53) arriving in Halesworth at 11:08.  Return trains to Lowestoft leave at 8 minutes past the hour (apart from an extra train at 16:54) and return trains to Woodbridge leave at 39 minutes past the hour.   \n\n\n\nIf joining by car\, there are various street parking and car park opportunities close to the station. \n\n\n\nPlease wear suitable footwear for walking\, bring waterproofs\, water and food.  There are no stiles and good grass paths for most of the journey but they are not very even in places so perhaps not a good route for pushchairs. \n\n\n\nFree\, but not a drop off.  Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

Come see the evidence I’ve found supporting my theory that Beccles was populated by dragons who lived a precarious life alongside the human population.  Bring your imagination and leave your scepticism behind! \n\n\n\nWe’ll start at the play area near Galleon boat yard/Lido.  There is a car park here\, but it often is full.  Street parking nearby in Ashman’s Road and adjoining roads near Leman High School. \n\n\n\nFree\, but not a drop off.  Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
