- Collaborative Maths age 10+ with Felicity. The session starts by practising mental arithmetic skills in a fun game. This is followed by a collaborative approach to solving problems. The children democratically choose from a selection of real and fantasy statements. The chosen statement is then explored and the children compile a list of all the information needed to tackle the problem. The tutor sources the information during the interim days between Fridays and then over the month the children discuss the collected information and process it to discover the best way or ways that the problem can be solved. This session is about discovering that Maths is everywhere and that there are Mathematical conventions that can be used to simplify the way we solve problems. View Schedule

with Natasha. Sessions can be run between 10am and 3pm where there is demand. Each week we will talk about different emotions and ways to manage the feelings and thoughts which are seen as negative and so many find hard to cope with. We explore different breathing practices and tools that help with anger, anxiety, and that regulate the nervous system. I also use different creative activities that help move through emotional cycles and emotional overwhelm. All of the practices used can help bring a sense of calm in everyday life. For older children we will also explore negative thoughts patterns and limiting beliefs with ways to understand and reframe them. Each week starts with some breathing to settle into the space with an invitation to share how everyone is feeling. Then moving into a discussion based around a feeling or emotion while working on a expressive art activity. We close with taking a few deep breaths.
